  1. ARIA.TXT

  3. This information is provided for users who may have problems with KidRiffs and 
  4. earlier versions of Aria sound card software drivers.  Please refer to the 
  5. README.WRI and ADVANCED.WRI files for more information.
  6.  
  7. Symptom:    Page Fault occurs while using KidRiffs on a system equipped with an
  8.         Aria sound card (Prometheus Products Inc.)
  9.  
  10. Cause:        Version of Aria sound card driver prior to March 1995.
  11.  
  12. Action:        Install the latest Aria drivers.  Versions of these files 
  13.         current when this file was written are included on the 
  14.         KidRiffs CD-ROM, by permission of Prometheus Products Inc.
  15.         These files are called ARIA.DRV, GENMIDI1.BNK and GENMIDI2.BNK.

  17.         Use the DOS copy command or your favorite Windows file manager to
  18.         copy the files from the ARIA directory on the KidRiffs CD-ROM into the
  19.         following locations:
  20.         a)    Copy all three files from the CD-ROM to your Windows
  21.             SYSTEM directory. If your system came with Windows
  22.             preloaded, the full path for this directory is most likely
  23.             C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.
  24.         b)    Copy all three files from the CD-ROM to your Aria WIN
  25.             directory. This directory is most likely C:\ARIA\WIN.
  26.         c)    Copy GENMIDI1.BNK and GENMIDI2.BNK only from the
  27.             CD-ROM to your Aria UTILS directory. This directory is most
  28.             likely C:\ARIA\UTILS.

  30. If this does not resolve the problem, contact your system vendor, or contact 
  31. Prometheus technical support at (503) 692-9601 (voice); (503) 691-5199.
  32. You may also be able to resolve the problem by reducing your disk cache 
  33. size to 512 K (see README.WRI for more details).
